Im Schulsystem von Myanmar kann der \u00dcbergang zur Universit\u00e4t nur von Kindern erfolgreich abgeschlossen werden, deren Eltern gen\u00fcgende Mittel haben, \u00fcber die letzten zwei Schuljahre in allen F\u00e4chern Nachhilfe Unterricht zu finanzieren. Im Ferdi Home leben bis zu 60 Kinder aus sozial schwachen Familien. Ohne das Ferdi Home h\u00e4tten die Kinder keine Chance die weiterf\u00fchrende Schule (Grade 8-12) zu besuchen. Die drei Geb\u00e4ude des Internats wurden von f\u00fcnf Freunden der Myanmar Stiftung finanziert.<\/p>\n

F\u00fcr die Finanzierung der ca. 100 Jugendlichen ben\u00f6tigen wir Stipendien. Ein Stipendium f\u00fcr dieses Projekt pro Schuljahr und Kind betr\u00e4gt EUR 1,000.-. Die Kinder wohnen meist auch in den Ferien im Ferdi Home. Sie gehen vormittags in die staatliche High School von Nyaung-U, deren Bau auch ma\u00dfgeblich von der Myanmar Stiftung finanziert wurde. Nachmittags und abends werden die Jugendliche von Fachlehrern nicht nur aufs Abitur vorbereitet, sondern auch musisch, sozial und sportlich gef\u00f6rdert.<\/p>\n
